2. What this website does and does not do
This is a static website with no user accounts, no forms, no comment function and no shop.
- It sets no cookies and uses no comparable technology. That is why there is no cookie banner.
- It uses no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising tools.
- It loads nothing from third-party servers: no external fonts, scripts, images or embedded content. The fonts are stored on our own web space.
The only processing that happens when you simply read the site is the server logging described in section 3.
3. Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Netlify"). When you open a page, your browser sends a request to Netlify's servers. Netlify processes the following data in server logs to deliver the page and to keep the service secure and stable:
- the IP address of the requesting device,
- date and time of the request,
- the page or file requested and the amount of data transferred,
- the status of the request,
- the browser type and version, the operating system, and the page you came from (referrer), if your browser sends them.
Purpose: delivery of the website, protection against attacks and misuse, error analysis.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is operating a secure and reliable website. We do not merge the log data with other data about you.
Retention: Netlify keeps these logs for a limited period (under 30 days, according to Netlify) and then deletes them. We do not access or store the logs ourselves beyond that.
Transfer to the USA: Netlify is a US company, so the data above is processed in the United States. Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, our data processing agreement with Netlify includes the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR).
4. Contact by email
If you write to us, we process the data you send: your email address, your name if you give it, the content of your message, any attachments, and the time of the message.
Purpose: handling your request, answering your questions, preparing and performing a contract if you become a client.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your message concerns a contract or a possible contract with us (for example a request for a proposal); otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest being to answer the people who contact us.
Retention: we delete your messages once your request is fully handled and no further contact is expected, unless we have to keep them for longer. Emails that count as commercial correspondence are kept for 6 years and documents relevant for tax for 10 years (§ 257 German Commercial Code, § 147 German Fiscal Code). Our email is hosted by Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Google may also process data in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
5. Clients and payments
If you become a client, we process the data needed to carry out the contract: company and contact details, correspondence, proposals, invoices and payment records. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) and (c) GDPR. Invoices and payment records are kept for 10 years under German tax law.
6. Recipients
Apart from the providers named above (Netlify for hosting, Google Workspace for email), we do not pass your data to anyone else, unless we are legally obliged to or you ask us to. We do not sell personal data.
